To mark the 100th anniversary of Miami’s Freedom Tower, Miami Dade College put out a call for filmmakers to chronicle the building’s rich history: from its opening in 1925 as the headquarters of The Miami News, to becoming a processing center for Cuban refugees, to its current incarnation as a cultural hub and an enduring symbol of hope and opportunity for those newly arrived. We were one of three finalists chosen to submit a two-minute sample. This was our entry.
