In 2016, Hammer and Nail founder Gaspar González guest curated Beyond the Game: Sports and the Evolution of South Florida for HistoryMiami Museum. The 5,000-square-foot exhibition chronicled the sporting events and institutions that have mirrored and shaped the growth of the region since the 1920s. For Beyond the Game, Hammer and Nail produced two original short films and a series of standalone video segments featuring South Florida sports icons. Here, Glen Rice, a star for the Miami Heat in its early years, recalls the team’s first trip to the playoffs.
